I preferred the Hobbit over LotR. Hobbit had a lot of fun language and smoothly transitioned into more serious writing. LotR was really dry.

First off district 9 is from Neill Blomkamp, also have you even seen Jackson's earlier films? Like Bad
Taste or Braindead and (especially) Meet The Feebles (Sesame street destroyed by cooke)
