You're not at all wrong. They are super close together, depends on the day really which one I prefer. Third isn't far behind either, nor is Roseland. Four perfect albums in a row.

It totally has. Over, Undenied, Humming, Cowboys, Only You... I love all of them (obviously).

This has the slightly annoying quality of being 50% extremely essential and 50% the most unessential tracks in the Portishead canon

haven't jammed this one in full in ages tbh, so probs won't die on this hill. rediscovered Third the other night, and that had grown hugely - hopefully this will be a similar story
from what I remember, Half Day Closing and the final 4 were v not the greatest, but we'll see if that's changed
