I honestly didn't know it was Davey singing until the second track opened up with him talking. Really surprised he could still scream like that. The music was really good, though. This could be an interesting project.

Yeah I was surprised too, saw him live for this albums tour and the band kept giving him looks when he'd break out into another one of their older, more screamy, tracks.



Cool that he's still got it, regardless of what it'll cost him in the long run I guess.

As long as he's doing it right, then screaming shouldn't ruin his vocal chords. Ever seen that instructional vocal DVD The Zen of Screaming? It's this female vocal coach showing a ton of different metal and hardcore singers how to scream without screwing up their vocal chords.

davey needed vocal surgery after touring on sing the sorrow, so im pretty sure he did a fair bit of damage. he still screamed on DU but it wasnt the kind of scream we were hearing before. then the screams were gone altogether on CL.

Yeah, I know he needed to get the surgery. That's true that his old vocal style is more of a yell vs. a metal scream. Still, there must be some way he can do that without damaging his voice too much.



He did bring back some of that yelling style on some songs off Burials, though.

So the project was officially revealed today and it looks like it's ANOTHER side project for Davey and Jade.

I was going to mention that some of the guitar methods reminded me of old school Jade lol
