wish old was this good. it's fun, but the sheer amount of danny's demons unearthed on this record bring it way above it. i used to dislike side 2 but i'm starting to see the album wouldn't be the same without it

Possibly, but if his performance is bad/mediocre/off it's certainly not on the crowd. Especially given different people's perceptions of having a good time at a show. And while musician's being good stage entertainers is nice, it doesn't always work.
