I gotta check this out probably stream this after work. I heard Confronting Entropy and thought it was good but I gotta agree with wiz and I know basing an entire album off one song never does any album justice but the difference between this and Everything is Fire seems very slight but with Ulcerate that's not a bad thing at all.The only album I can say treads different territories in their discography is Destroyers but never the less this should still kick ass.

while I do somewhat agree with the notion that they haven't really pushed boundaries with their own sound since the transition from OFaF to EiF, I think part of the new mentality in music listening/critiquing is to expect massive change or innovation with every 1-2 albums. Most legendary or highly acclaimed bands explore a sound for at least 2-3 albums before switching it up...

"Justified my rating/ neg opinion?"

Absolutely. And MO, it's not the rating as much as it was a couple of comments that, when taken out of context, could be taken more negatively.

well that settles it, I'm going to have to get the LP. I'd probably listen to this if it was just the drums.

despite this not topping everything is fire for me, the imperious weak might be their best song yet (competing with t/t from eif and omens)

also they need more parts like in await rescission from around 2:20 to 2:45 where that awesome little riff comes in and screams over the maelstrom below
