"I still think from Split Your Infinities to the end of the album is some of the best shit ever."
[2] Everything from there is 5/5 material. The middle of the album is lackluster tho IMO. And the album takes awhile to get it's momentum going.

And yeah this is by far the best BoC album."
Awwww, of course you care. Otherwise, why are you here? Anyway, what's the point of rating something a 1 that you obviously don't think so? You want attention? Do your parents ignore you? Your teachers don't
understand you? All your friends suck? Your life's meaningless? Am I screwing with you? I'm sure you can find someone to talk to.

interludes on geogaddi are WAY better than these. in the annexe is such a hauntingly beautiful song ,
and a is to b a be is to c is so creepy-cool

I still don't understand why people keep trying to compare this to Geogaddi lol

Though it doesn't have the same warmth Geo and MHTRTC do, I think the songs here are stronger than any they've written imo

telepath hits pretty much like in the annexe, i immediately drew a comparison between the two

Just finished installing my new stereo system and hooked it up to my vinyl player and popped this on,
and damn it was even better than what it was before. Seriously close to 5'ing this already.

i mean this is like geogaddi in the sense that it's electronic music, but the difference is this is insanely boring whereas geogaddi had depth and variety

I really hope it doesn't take them 7 years to make another album, damn man.
See ya'll in 2020 haha.
I'd really like them to make a uplifting/relaxing album after this. Like a mix of IABPOITC and MHTRTC.
Would be sweet.
I will say though, I am kinda disappointed with this, it's better than TCH but was it worth 7 years
of waiting? No way.

I only really started getting into them last year, so I can't say that's a negative fore me

i still think it's nuts that people like this more than campfire headphase. dayvan cowboy alone kills everything on this album: it's just the perfect blend of atmosphere and grandiosity

It's intriguing to me that each of their albums have my fave BoC songs on them.
MHTRTC - Aquarius (The motherfuckin' pad!)
Geogaddi - Music is Math (The song got me into electronic music)
TCH - Oscar See Through Red Eye (Has summer written all over it)
TH - Jacquard Causeway (Seriously, 3:54 onwards is fuckin bliss)

This and Campfire are on almost the same level to me, this being just slightly better.

Album Rating: 5.0
campfire is my least favorite simply because BoC has ALWAYS been about atmosphere and texture.
regardless of whether you think their older releases are more complex or whatever the main draw
behind BoC's music has always been the atmosphere and the nostalgia that comes with it.
campfire was a bunch of atmospheres that just didn't really do anything for me, and this one
is the polar opposite. it ticks everything in just the right place.
i just don't think any of the criticism of this album has risen above the praise for it. people
dislike this album because it isnt their nostalgia, as has ALWAYS been the case with BoC, so why
belittle anyone who likes it because it is theirs?

Geo - 5
MHTRTC - 4.5
TH - 4
TCH - 3.5
Their fifth album is gonna most likely clash with another in terms of rating. I really doubt I'll
give a BoC album a 3 though.
"campfire was a bunch of atmospheres that just didn't really do anything for me"
[2] Apart from Dayvan, Oscar and Satellite. They're fuckin bangers.

i actually dislike this because it's too atmospheric. this album is floating in space; so much of it sounds the same; and there's rarely any kind of intriguing development/resolution to these songs. some of them are sublime, but as an album i find it very inconsistent - especially when you throw a song like palace posy in the mix
