Didn't realise that was a particularly controversial claim.

EDIT: Well, they're both albums and I like one better than the other, so yeah, comparable.

I really disliked Homework, to be honest. I heard it a long-ass time ago, though, so maybe I'd feel differently now.

I loved tracks like Phoenix, but the rest was just a homogenous blur.

Interesting people are complaining about the length of this album. We haven't had a new original daft punk studio album in 8 years and you complain about it being too long? I could care less if there's one or two more mediocre songs. If we aren't getting another Daft Punk album till 2021 at least this one is long.

Well, there's certainly something to be said about if this were a really consistent album (just noting, haven't heard it yet.) But yeah, I like the idea of there being a lot of substance here.

Homework took a while for me as well. The more I revisit the album the more I'm astonished how closely it resembles a lot of the EDM from ~06'-now. Also try going to a sporting event and not hear Around the World or Da Funk.

I think that Discovery was the more cohesive album, but Homework had a plethora of infamous singles: Revolution 909, Da Funk, Phoenix, Around the World, Rollin' & Scratchin', Teachers, Oh Yeah, and Alive.

That album did more to push electronic music mainstream than anyone I can think of off the top of my head (however small that is). I would even go so far to say that every major EDM artist owes a large debt of gratitude to DP for giving them the opportunity to obtain commercial success of that level in this day and age (e.g. skrillex)
