Been jammin' this a bit lately, it still holds up. Every song is good, and over half are great.

I've heard Nothing's Shocking twice, and both times thought it was mid af ngl. Not sure if I'd dig this

Once you get Farrell it unlocks all his stuff.
There’s a lot of hedonism and braggadocio…but also he/they aren’t macho, there’s spirituality, there’s a love (almost worship) of the feminine.
The music is very LA but also a bit tropical/Eastern…they’re maybe the children of Zeppelin/Robert Plant.
It has been said Farrell is the most ‘flamboyant’ (mostly?) straight singer in rock.

I remember thinking this was pretty wild when I was 16.
I've probably heard it precisely once in the last decade and admittedly it didn't leave a huge impression. I'll either get nothing out of this at all now, or it'll do a complete 360 back to where we once began. Understanding my teenage self vs present day Demon, I very much doubt the latter scenario would be the case mind

I gave NOTHING’S SHOCKING a 3.0 and I also like “Stop!” and “Been Caught Stealing” so there’s definitely hope yet.

I wish the guitars here had a bit more body. The top end of the mix feels very really crowded between the cymbals, the jangly rhythm guitar and Farrell’s vocals.
