You can't become a great reviewer just from reading reviews though. Sure, you can learn new techniques and it can help improve your writing, but there's a certain amount of trial and error involved in becoming a good writer regardless of how much you read.

I think it's usually good to take a hands-on approach to things, and this site has a good dynamic for that. New users, (me to an extent), can try their hand at reviewing, while people that are consistently good will get recognized as such. The neg system is good in principle, but it definitely seems to get abused a lot.

Other than that yeah, i think everyone should be able to review. Don't forget that the site's most

prominent reviews are the staff's and contrib's. If other reviews get out there too, its because they

were front paged and deserve the recognition, i guess. Those, and that KILL review. Haha
