Hillary the songwriting always comes first in everything. This is why many of the greatest freestylers and battlers cant actually write good songs or albums, and they fizzle out. Lyrics are just one part of hip hop. Theres alot of great lyricists out there but making great songs out of them is much harder.
Its the same with having great technical guitar skill. That doesnt mean you can write great songs. You may be an amazing wanker but your music might be garbage. IT is the equivalent of that. Hes a wanker that impresses 14 year olds.
