Great album, but the follow-up is even greater.

Hey, this ain’t no pop group… what gives? Misleading
do I prefer the one after this? Yep definitely an oddity, plenty weird, sometimes interesting yet also annoyingly obtuse at times. Bookends went pretty hard though. I prefer it when they increase the intensity a little.

Communicate from the follow-up is fire. Possibly the most impactful first glance of any track of this or that album.
Okay, they've earnt another run, because I could go either way here. I get the feeling it'll be hard for the 'whole' to stick here, but select cuts do intrigue. Guess we'll see.

yeah, I don't like the one after this. Communicate aside it just doesn't hold my interest.
I prefer the more abstract themes of this and the sound is easier to get lost in, even if some parts do admittedly escape my grasp. The typical anti-establishment punk schtick of 'How Much Longer' just doesn't appeal and the vox are distracting.

I held off rating because I wanted to believe and thought things might take a turn for the better tect (also, I have issues pulling the 'trigger' until I've saved up like 15 releases or something, but let's go with the initial reasoning)
I lost my pass down the back of the sofa, so no can do I'm afraid

lot of goofing around on this album

nearly two years (what?) later and I'm actually enjoying this a fair bit, especially the first half (w/ additional tracks, apparently). The second half is even more obtuse to my ears in the sense there is less tangible moments to pick out, but maybe I just need to check again. The vibe is still cool.
Progress (3 > 3.5)

I did. I apparently liked it less than this initially. I will endeavour to right this wrong.

okay, tolerate Mass Murder has movement (2.5 > 3)
it's still a little prickly to really get into. This is too but idk the weirdness vibes harder these days. Progress.

High as giraffe pussy is a crazy simile, but yeah. This is peak, I love how adventurous it is. Nobody else ever sounded like this. Shouts out to The Boys from Brazil for having blast beats.
