Different strokes for different folks I guess. I just can't believe so many people think this cd is excellent and above. I'm going to burn my roomie's copy if he plays it much more.

Rating this album was so frigging hard, but I think a 3 is fair. Understand, DragonForce is one of my favorite bands right now, but the album as a whole just doesn't do much for me. Individually, each song is probably a 4 or a 5. But they just drag on too long and all sound the same. Props to Sam and Herman though. Those two are absolutely incredible.

Cellador is better than DragonForce. :mad:

The shredding on this album is sheer insanity. It gets a bit repetitive after a while though.

I just saw the music video to TtFaF yesterday, and it's pretty cool, I love when the major solos come up and Sam picks up his drink while Herman solos. They're both extremely fast, but the solos don't seem to have much emotion in them.

I've been a fan of dragon force since SF came to the US. After a listen I bought Valley of the Damned. I'm going to quote ZP on this one. "Those people who rate out songs and think it sounds all the same need to find another F*cking Job."



This album is one of the best I've ever heard, and their show was, hands down, the finest display of showman-ship I have ever witnessed. This album gets rated up there with "Blood Surgar Sex Magic" from RHCP and "S.C.I.E.N.C.E" by Incubus.



Has no one noticed that all the songs tie together? Maybe it's just my intepritation, but I believe "Flame of Eternal Youth" is the precurser to the conclusion (which is the Ballad) of the entire CD. The harmonizing was as close to perfect as I have ever heard on a CD even close to being this fast. The Vocal range of ZP makes me cream my tighty-whities everytime and the Midget Dinamo is so very fast that I want to break my bass drum hitting feet for not being able to go that fast.



FUN FACT: Did you know Dave Mack (drummer) is shorter than Herman Li? I met the guys after a show and he is short. Like 5'5"- 5'4" easy.This Message Edited On 10.26.06This Message Edited On 10.26.06

Hey at least they don't sound like Horse the band. Also they don't sound that much like a video game its just some solos have video game noises in them.
