It's hard to see Renegades as an actual RATM album anyway, it doesn't have any originals and they had already broken up when it came out. Seen as a sole album though, it's pretty good. Microphone Fiend is a beast.

Exactly, that one and Pistol Grip Pump, the energy of Renegades Of Funk and Kick Out The Jams, the epic closer Maggie's Farm. There's gems in there, even if inconsistency seems to plague it.
