hmmm i have some thoughts haha. i definitely thought this would more like a silverstein or something as poppy. i really appreciate the more hardcore and legit emo influence on this. cleans are alright but i wish they popped a bit more but i suppose i like a more whiny tone in phxc cleans. musicianship is all solid, some really cool melodic stuff. i did come in thinking the choruses would really pop but they didn't really. on a second listen now, hope it clicks after not getting what i expected.

first half feels like it has all the standouts, first four are all great. then it kinda starts to blend for me. still a really solid fun album, i see why you dig it so much since it's fairly atypical for a album like this in this period.
but yeah one of my first metalcore bands that i got deep into the genre with was haste the day. definitely got a special spot for them.
