Come Clarity is a step toward recovery, but the "new" In Flames just can't match the "old" In Flames. The Jester Race and Whoracle were masterpieces... Come Clarity just doesn't compare.

WTF? Compares In Flames with Korn?:D I dont think that Anders is the same freak like Davis and Korn has the same sound like In Flames

Now this is suprising,I wish I would have seen this review earlier because im pretty shocked at the score you gave it.For starters,Come Clarity is the 2nd worst In Flames album right next to STYE which is better used as a coaster than something you put in your cd player. For a band that pioneered the Gothenburg sound they sure have managed to stray to the exact opposite of what they were once about. If you can actually say this album is better than Jester Race,Whoracle,Colony,or Clayman with a straight face, you should seek help, asap.
Ill listen to NiN if I wanna hear industrial noise.

The first 5 tracks on this album are pure gold.

Not quite,in fact some of the riffs here were defineately used on STYE and as far as the 1st five tracks goes,Leeches take it.Still, not even coming close to the brilliance of the previous albums. This is a different In Flames for a different kind of metal fan.I hope theyre trying to make it big by putting out musically lacking stuff like this.

It's not really a different In Flames for a different metal fan, I love all of the previous works (I haven't really heard much of R2R or STYE though) and I still like this album.

In Flames are just progressing they don't want to be stuck doing the same sound over and over again. Also they're definetly not doing this to become "big" they already are. I actually like this album just as good as Clayman.

I dont know,I liked the old In Flames much much better, they pioneered a sound and then left it for something a little bit easier to swallow for the masses. They havent lost the musical credibility like Metallica has now(even though theyre still my fav band ever they practically raised me)so thats good but I wish they stayed going in the direction they were on Clayman. That album was like a better,more-refined version of the Colony sound and I thought it was great.

This is a great review for a great CD i like how you described come clarity that was off tap top work mate.

Meh, pretty good but sort of disappointing. I liked the instrumental aspect of the music, but the vocalist sounds awful. He sort of ruined it for me.
I find the second half of the album to be stronger though.

Anders voice is good for a couple songs on this album, but I do agree that he's kind of weird. It's hard to listen to him for an entire album.
Colony owns this.

Odd, I really like Anders. Especially since he changes it up a little. I almost fell out of my seat when I heard the title track the first time. I was hoping they would evolve, but I definitely didn't see that one coming.

Aw come on, Colony sucks.

Colony is definetly a good album and I actually prefer it to this album. This is also a good album though, Anders IMO has a great voice for this kind of music. Hes really perfected his vocals on this album alot of emotion.

Colony is one of the best metal cd's I've ever heard. I'm serious. All of the songs are a great listen, and especially songs as Zombie Inc., Scorn or Ordinary Story are classics.
