These dudes played at a venue near me last night. Walked past the venue at 6 pm and there was a line forming, and then I walked past again at around 8:30 pm and the same people were crowded outside still hmm

Probs cancelled the show.
I saw them live (their headline show) and they played about 25 minutes then just walked off citing 'technical issues'.

I saw them open up for another band and they still cut out early.
Great band.

Damn sad to hear that shit is still going on

Yeah, I'm never paying to see them live ever again. There are far too many amazing, respectful bands that come around to NY and Boston literally every week for me to spend money on a band that imo hasnt been worthwhile since like 2008 anyway.

Nah this is bad. The ending solo sections on II and III are sweet though, and Accelerated Evolution is ok
EDIT: Hmm ok 1.5 might be a bit cruel

Where's Hawks?
Good question, actually. He's been very inactive recently.

Hot take but this record was pretty influential for the 2010s. This was the first time a band really created a balanced mix between the modern era of technical death metal and progressive metal in ways that influenced so many other albums and bands to form in the coming years (for better or for worse). I doubt we would have bands like Inanimate Existence, Fallujah, Arkaik, Vale of Pnath or Virvum if it wasn't for this band's willingness to try something slightly out of the leftfield with a blend of Devin Townsend/Mr. Bungle style of progressive metal and technical death metal. That being said I don't think everything on this album works well. The cleans are okay and a little lame but the songwriting is pretty excellent at least in my opinion.

PD is easily their most influential i think, but i agree this is too

If Keene just cut out the rest except the Autotheism movement and Eidolon, this would be a slammer of an EP tbh
