But srsly, CoF, better than this?!?
I'm going to assume you're trying to make a joke lol. The two can't really be compared because COF is symphonic black/gothic metal and this is progressive death metal.
And its definitely time for me to bump this up to a 5. Officially one of my favorite metal albums. I really don't give a fuck if I've only had this for a few days. This Message Edited On 04.13.09

I'm about to listen to this right now. I haven't listened to any metal in about a week and a half so I figured I get started back up with this.

Alright this album has grown on me so much that it went from being just a good metal album to being one of my favorites and now I'm going to say this is flat out my favorite metal album ever passing up Buried in Obilvion.

I had the same experience with Blackwater Park about a week ago, except it's been my favorite for about two years now. But I did actually re-listen to this a couple days ago and it was better than I remembered. My biggest gripe is the "Mabool"/"The Storm Still Rages Inside" epic. It just drags on and on for me.

Blackwater Park is also amazing. But this album is just perfect all around for me. The Middle Eastern influence in this band just makes it so much better too. I love when metal bands put incorporate folk instruments from their country into the music.

Yeah, that's easily the best part of this. I love the transition from "Kiss of Babylon" into A'Salk. The female vocalist gives me chills every time.

Just finished A'Salk like two seconds ago actually lol. But yeah I agree. Whoever that woman is, she has a great voice.

It really is. And I'm hoping the new album isn't a disappointment. Hopefully its just as good or better than this one, though I can't see them getting any better after this. I'm going to check out the other two full lengths tomorrow.
