While compiling my year end list and adding a compilation from the Hellenic power/progressive power outfit of Deceptor (highly recommended!), I thought of their singer John K as a fantastic contender for the singer here.
It's the guy who sung for Balance of Power and Biomechanical in the naughts.
He's got terrific range and versatility, I don't know if he is currently up to it though.

“2000-2005 is mandatory listening”
1996-2005 are mandatory listening (seriously, why would you exclude two of the best albums of their discog?)

Gud album. Who Decides still a slappa. Oh wait that was on Enemies of Reality. Whatever, this was also a slappa.

-- Sounds like Jim isn't involved? Not surprising as he's had a bad time with Crohn's disease for a while now.
Nevermore visited Thessaloniki, Greece in the naughts (second guitarist Steve Smyth), the venue was packed and waiting patiently for the band to start playing, when it was announced that Sheppard was suddenly hospitalised…
After quite a while, Nevermore decided to play the show without Sheppard - they kicked ass, btw - but it was a tough call, 50-50 chance to not play at all…
Nothing leaked in the local metal press about Sheppard's predicament in the time elapsed…
Fuck Crohn's disease.
