ok once Corporal Clegg started the album began going a bit downhill. Saucerful of Secrets was virtually a whole lot of nothing until the last 2-3 minutes. See-saw is picking it up a bit though

yeah i didn't find Jugband Blues very appealing personally. So far the two longest songs, Interstellar Overdrive and Saucerful of Secrets are a total letdown. I hope their long songs get better

I think the various live versions of the song A Saucerful of Secrets make me like the song a lot more, but the album version is slightly underwhelming. They get a lot better at that song archetype I think.

agreed t/t on here feels like a rough draft for stuff like Eugene which came after

for my first listen this was a HUGE step up to the first album. First album left a ton to be desired for me personally. The title track on this album is unfortunately the weakest song by far and i find it hard to want to revisit it.
PERSONAL Standout Tracks on 1st listen:
Let There Be More Light
Remember A Day
Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun
See-Saw

In my opinion, this is a great album as happened with their debut but less original and psych. This one as the seeds of their future music style, their more space rock style.
