This quickly saturated to a 3.5 rating for me, good album, Kidman has improved A LOT, ABSOLUTELY STUNNING production, but that's that.

I was suprised at how good Kidman sounded on this too its like one of his best vocal performances, he sounds sooooo evil on the end of Behind the Sun

How could you blow out your voice from screaming? You pretty much just use your throat to change pitch you breathe through your diaphragm just like singing.

I feel like people just speculate that or the band says that to get people off their case for going mainstream lol.

It amazes me that basically everyone in real life thinks screaming is shouting like literal shouting.

cory got close to blowing out his voice, but i don't think a7x did... (or at least i wish he would.)

i don't know how to feel about the songwriting, i know why it's monotonous, but it's pretty much entrancing most of the time, so i'm confused.

it's why i enjoy this stuff so much, similar to cloudkicker, takes an idea and just builds and builds on it adding subtle changes throughout

I couldn't disagree more with this statement. This is far superior to Obzen.

Says the guy who has a pretty terrible taste in metal. Nice to see you back up your idiotic opinion.

Matt Shadows (lol name) def blew out his voice after Waking The Fallen. His voice was powerful on that album when he sang but on City Of Evil he struggled to hit notes. And basically hes sucked and been annoying as all hell ever since.

Throat polyps became more popular after extreme music got more popular, because people would join bands, start screaming and destroy their throats due to poor technique. And for "professional" vocalists, it makes sense to think that their voices would start to go after overusing them for decades.

the greatest benefit of being able to scream is to use it in a douchebaggy manner to scare people.
