This quickly saturated to a 3.5 rating for me, good album, Kidman has improved A LOT, ABSOLUTELY STUNNING production, but that's that.

I was suprised at how good Kidman sounded on this too its like one of his best vocal performances, he sounds sooooo evil on the end of Behind the Sun

I feel like people just speculate that or the band says that to get people off their case for going mainstream lol.

Matt Shadows (lol name) def blew out his voice after Waking The Fallen. His voice was powerful on that album when he sang but on City Of Evil he struggled to hit notes. And basically hes sucked and been annoying as all hell ever since.

Throat polyps became more popular after extreme music got more popular, because people would join bands, start screaming and destroy their throats due to poor technique. And for "professional" vocalists, it makes sense to think that their voices would start to go after overusing them for decades.

the greatest benefit of being able to scream is to use it in a douchebaggy manner to scare people.
