Chan's right. It wasn't funny. I do have a funny one though:

I wish stevo was emo. because then he would cut himself and die.

(That may have been a bit harsh)

This whole discussion danced on the fine-line between pointless and retarded.

I wish James Hetfield was emo because then he'd take better care of his hair.

Same.

This band has become less like a kick in the nuts for the ears. Still don't like them, but they're not as bad as I once thought.

Okay I went way overboard on my comment. I think these guys are great as far as the two minute radio friendly emo pop scene goes. People have called them todays beatles, and that's where I definetly draw the line. I'm not one for statistics in the argumentation of music, but here's one to sink your teeth into, Bob Dylan was voted number one songwriter by Rolling Stone. I can see why not everyone likes the guy, but your not going to be very popular saying that his lyrics suck; considerably more unpopular than I am for saying Fall Out Boy sucks.

I suppose. It just sort of bugs me when people say bands fall under genres they don't, especially when refrering to emo, as it's so common.

Irony, I know, shuddup.

If you hear the media label something as emo, that means it's pop-punk.

They are too emo. How many pop punkers attempt artistic lyrics and song titles ? Not that FOB pulls it off well though... Emo that doesn't scream wrist slitter is also known as lemo. Panic at the Disco, My Chemical Romance fit under this category. Most of you probably think emo has to be hard or related to the screamo faction, but the first emos played a softer kind of music. And lemo is synanomous with radio-friendly so yes, back to my first statement, Fall Out Boy is emo pop.

Artistic lyrics and song titles = emo? I don't think so.

Fall Out Boy = Pop Punk with clever lyrics and song titles.

POP-PUNK!!!!!! AH!!!!1 You don't know anything. I think we need Sterpike to fix this up. Playing softer music does not mean a band is emo. It means they are pop. Lemo isn't even a word. Shut up.

Cannibal Corpse has artistic lyrics and song titles. Does that make them emo? They cut way more areas and objects than wrist.

Wow arguing over genres...how mature.
Good review, from what I've heard this album is terrible, but I have yet to hear any of it, so I will refrain from rating it.
