I understand that sentiment but it's the weakest full-length for me. it might be the best if everything was as good as the title track(s).

then how can you not sympathise when i call a shitty ambient track that doesn't go anywhere, a song that sounds like a watered down slowdive song and a track that literally relies on one clean guitar line (and not even a good one) for 8 minutes long boring?? :[

Abysses is really the only questionable song on there. Solar Song doesn't really fit with the rest of the album, and it's a little overrated, but it's still a great song that rocks a lot harder than any Slowdive song. Sur L'Ocean is simplistic but really beautiful; it only uses that guitar line (which is awesome) for about half of the song, and there are lots of nuances in there. I don't see how you can criticize those songs and like Beings of Light, which is literally just one simple melody for over 6 minutes.

'rocks harder' doesn't mean better. it's just a reply to noctus saying that it's watered-down, which it really isn't at all.
and given that neige hadn't even heard of shoegaze until after his first lp, no. maybe if you had actually listened to slowdive you would know.
