I think maybe this is a 'classic' album. Hmmm. I've got to be honest though....I had believed they were going to make an even better album. They haven't yet, but it's still possible.

I don't like New Surrender as much as this or Friendship, but I've only heard it like 4 times

New Surrender has a few great tracks but isn't as good as this overall i'd say

I love how outwardly happy it is. It really captures the essence of young love, trying new things, and reminiscing fondly on the past. This is much darker than that, so it's really subject to what mood I'm in. Still, (*Fin) is their finest accomplishment by a huge margin.

I would probably rate New Surrender as a 5 in the summer, for the exact reasons you stated Gyro. It really just matches the season perfectly, and makes Younglife one of my favorite Anberlin songs ever.

However, Cities is a 5 no matter what the season

Cities seems much deeper in terms of content. As in I feel like a solid week of listening to New Surrender and you'll know the songs inside and out, whereas Cities would take a good month to do that.

I know Seed It's so damn good, I'm not even a big Alt Rock fan either obviously but this album is legit.

This review is brilliant. But so is this album. The more I listen to it, the better it gets. And it's been 5 years now.
