this band uses really generic breakdowns, lotsa boring chugs, and vocals that are annoyingly arrogant. ETID are at least able to pull off the "fun" shtick, whereas Attila cannot. And are an actual punk band.

Jamming now and it's exactly what I said; generic chugs, annoying vox, lazy breakdowns. Only thing I forgot were the generic melodic metalcore riffs, like that detail could make them a 4/5 band lol

"annoyingly arrogant" lmao please tell me it's a joke

when he tries to do that hardcore yell it sounds really annoying and insincere. And then there are lines about blowjobs and dick and how cool he is. Lyrically "Payback" can essentially be boiled down to "I rok u suk".

I don't love ETID by any means but at least their songwriting has much more of those punk dynamics that make songs shift suddenly in meaningful ways instead of falling into the same metalcore conventions like every other band out there.

Fronz is honestly a great vocalist, he utilizes a lot of vocal techniques and isn't at all monotonous like a lot of bands today are, at least in a genre like deathcore and metalcore. He utilizes his highs, lows, mids, yells, and what I can only describe as pseudo-cleans in "Another Round", it's just his lyrics that are shitty. He himself was a great vocalist.

Outlawed - cool riff but the frat boy vox ruin it, and then they start a generic chug breakdown for no reason which entirely kills the momentum. Oh cool a super slow breakdown that makes it even better.

Light Me Up - melodic mc riff Lamb of God ripoff vox, annoying faux punk vox with chugs, decent punk riff marred by slobbering vox and then generic breakdown

Nothing Left to Say - more lamb of god wanna be half melodic riff then more generic chugging breakdown, then more chugging and lamb of god oh hey a solo that isn't awful and woops another breakdown and these lyrics are pretty cringey now too lol

Another Round - omg cowbell how fun these guys are fun. More half djent riffs yay and then a melodic metalcore chorus that doesn't suck hey. but then another breakdown :-[

Nasty Mouth - so like more groove metal with even cringier lyrics about butts ok. These riffs aren't bad but the lyrics and vox ruin it all :/ They should just be a lamb of god ripoff band i mean that's what they seem to be trying to do half the time anyway

Smokeout - when they're doing melodic mc it's good but the other riffs and breakdowns suk

Holler - what's disappointing is realizing how good this all coulda been but wasn't bc fratboys can't carry a good idea more than fifteen seconds without ruining it djun unun nunnun nananana nunnnunn

Sex - starting a song like Emmure with bad language and aggressive lyrics oo edgy. Another dollurrrrrr srrrrrrved br00tal. Oo and then a pseudo Meshuggah breakdown sweet at least they got the lead guitar melody part sorta not completely wrong during that part. and then more lamb of god and then close with a s u p e r s l o w b r e a k d o w n

White Lightning - melodic groove riffs. This is the kind of energetic punk screaming he should be doing bc it's actually fun but nah now we're doing chug (pause) chug breakdowns again.

Payback - starts with toughguy vox and then a breakdown uh not a good start. Lyrics cringe. Decent groovy riff and hey anothernother breakdown.

There's not a single track here that doesn't have really derivative songwriting, or breaks from their formula of assorted groove riffs + breakdowns + melodic mc riffs + moar chugz

Fucking what??? Fucking what, Futures? I'm as embarrassed to admit I liked Soundtrack to a Party and Rage as I am to admit I paid for this. This was the tipping point from fun, almost excusable 'party core' to commercial shock value horse shit that has sold so well to teenagers that these guys are still an active band in 2016.
