dev, you ever jammed bowery electric??? I thought of them when i first jammed this. They were more of a shoegaze band, but latter developed into more trip-hop styles...

Yea, this album is no joke. Goin to 4.5 for now. All Yours is top five soty material easy. Not to mention title track. Honestly not sure why this is considered dubstep though, seems much more akin to trip hop.

Guess I'm just not informed enough as to the definition. The frequent vocals here and more laid back groove don't gel with my idea of dubstep, but my idea is probably wrong.

Having vocals doesn't stop it from being a part of the genre, and not all dubstep is uber-whomp

Deviant, what would you consider to be dubstep? You seem to know what you're talking about, and I would love to have a bit of a firmer grasp on the genre, if that makes sense
