and yeah, munro, i listened to it the day it leaked, thought it was shit, and started writing.
Subsequent listens happened during the reviewing process, and it was still shit. I do this pretty
often idk. I do think that this is a review where I didn't need to post a rating; I feel like any
rating between 1 and 2.5 is pretty arbitrary.
You wrote a review from a leak. Even theinterlude.com that's a crappy as fuck website got to hear an advance copy, with full quality and access to the lyrics. You write a review that's a hate fest and you ask me about credibility?
You looked very hard to hate on this record. Tried way too hard to find arguments to judge this as immature when if it's anything, it's the most mature record they've ever done. You could find flaws on this record, if you judged correctly, there're flaws, just not the ones you're pointing. It just reads poorly, you know? Like if a kid tried to look wise and failing miserably at doing so. What goes well with people saying that the writing on your review looks forced.

and it wasnt too hard to hate this record tbh, its pretty bad.
also i like how you think i have a civic duty to sit down and force myself to listen to something
until i like it because anyone who TRULY listens to this album would see its not, really not, just a
poor, overproduced, badly written, boring piece of shit because dammit this is objectively their
best album since tayf cmon guys no really.

No, as a staff reviewer, you have to judge a record from the original source, not from a leak. Even the fucking theinterlude could do that, since they've asked for advanced copies to listen. You didn't. You don't have to listen a record until you like it either, that's not what I'm saying at all. I don't care if you like the album or not, what I'm judging is the way you went to review this.
