just re read this for some reason (I'm planning on listening to the album tonight, I usually read reviews for albums before I spin them)

Still love this. Hardcore AOTY at the present time.

this is so frustrating for me, I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up : (
|

this grew on me, but tilde, home away from here, amends, and even the great repetition are SUCH great songs for their live show

"i don't see how condolences would make anyone laugh,
maybe cringe at the awkward cliche lyrics but thats about it.
there's nothing funny about it."
it made me laugh because it's full of emotional posturing and sounds overblown pretentious and melodramatic. its basically screamo but with all the good left out and all the shit people hate about screamo magnified
|
| |
this would rule if his voice didn't have a range of three semitones
|
| |
I like their drums and their guitar riffs every now and then.

haha
I don't really like which diatonic modes they use on the second half of the album tbh

MUSICAL THEORY BITCH
nah jk, hardcore/screamo isn't at all about voice capacity. i just had how he accents all his melodies the same, so listening to
this for 20 minutes is... eeh. vocalist is a one-trick pony
