That's one hell of a funny review but a bitter truth. I listened to the album a couple of times and i realized she was saying one thing throughout. "Same message different tune" i agree with that 101%. she want us or rather her fans to be free and live their lives the way they want, but for an album with the "Freedom" concept lyrics plays the biggest role "NOT" meshed up Techno, pop, Rock and dance beats. Gaga is a songwriter, she writes virtually all her music but she really needs to improve on her lyrical content. Most of the verses here are just 5 lines with sugar coated hooks and a bridge nothing more, After that the beat is allowed to play for at least 30secs. The whole album is too repulsive. On the track "Edge of Glory", the word edge was used nearly 50times. i like this website and i like most of the user comments, they look matured unlike some other sites where her little monsters invade and blast the whole site with over-hyped expressions. Some called it the "Best album in history" lol.

The best fan and a true fan isn't the one who is adulating everything the artist does... The best fan is the one who recognizes a bad material and express his or herself about it, in a constructive way.

"Album of the decade"... ???? Too much $h!t from her mouth for a ridiculous material

I've yet to read a proper argument as to why this is a bad album.

The problem is that expectations were pretty high for this, considering she does have a great voice and a lot of untapped songwriting talent (partially displayed on the fame monster). This album had to be her grand creative outing that left everyone dazzled, and soldify her new name as the 'queen of pop'. However, the album shows no direct improvements over her past albums (I'll just call The Fame Monster an album for the sake of convenience), and the songwriting quality has actually decreased. Maybe it's just me but she doesn't really stick out among all those other pop divas any more. This album is the definition of disappointment.

Listened to this once. Did not feel it. Maybe it grows on me.

Also- do paid reviews exist? i can`t understand the high ratings given for this thus far. What am i missing? I thought the lyrics were hilariously bad...plus i got so bored in the middle of listening to this.

Album of the decade? Bitch,please.

the closest a pop album ever came to pulling off a conceptual message for the kids which was both hip and thought provoking was Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814

and the themes were shit

but still a great album I love it to death

The album's surprisingly not bad. It's getting too much hate on here. I bet some people who gave it low ratings might not actually have listened to it.

@greg84

The same way some people praising it might not have listened to it too.

@Meatplow

How many times are you going to rate it ??? Or you want to increase the ratings because its too low ??? @Gref84: You see.

I'm sorry to pop your bubble but rolling stone is not really a trustworthy reference. For example they gave Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath a very bad review when it was released and then in 2004 they suddenly gave it 5 stars...

Emperor, I agree with you completely about her most adoring fans. still, I find them a lot more easier to sympathise with than Gaga's pack of rabid haters who seem to go to great lengths to intellectualise at length about their distaste for the woman, which without fail is more painful to read than anything Gaga has ever wrote about or said, each and every time.

She's not even Erik Satie omg

Rolling Stone is a feeling, man

and that Marina & The Diamonds album is good, but will anyone ever call it an enduring pop culture classic? probably not, but we'll see what Rolling Stone are writing about in 30 years
