Agreed. If you hate breakdown overuse, you'd hate this album. I got over it though, as you can see. Technical or not, I believe there is a lot of power behind the guitar work and vocals in this album.

Yes. Although I might lower to a 4 now that I have grown a bit better of a perspective on music since I last rated. The reason I'm at 4.5 has a lot to do with how emotionally powerful the band is for me. The choruses are some times bad but a lot of the time really well executed, and easy to sing a long to. I admit it is mostly mindless, but it does some thing good with that mindlessness, and I have room for technical and thought provoking music in my collection as well.
BTW, you can't deny his low tone screams slay.
Shit, I'm listening to it right now and realized that it's 90% bottom string open note chugging. I completely forgot how un-technical the guitar is.

Danny's vocals aren't even that good live. This band are a studio band and they aren't even that great in the studio....
Some pretty cool moments on here though.

Alright, fine, Morte et Dabo is a decent-ish sorta metalcore song. But the rest is garbage. Besides like 1 or 2 10 second breakdowns.
