Although they don't quite live up to the greats like Zeppelin and Sabbath, they do a good job of trying to revitalize rock the way it's meant to be played. Especially now, when there's bands like Fall Out Boy, and Panic! At the Disco getting popular, it's a nice refresher to see a band like Wolfmother out there. This is a great start for them, and I hope to see more stuff from them in the future. Brilliant review by the way Auldy.

Wolfmother are 100% original. Tell me The Zeppelin riff they use, or the Sabbath bass line or the organ part from any Deep Purple. Get over your opinions and realise that Wolfmother deserve every ounce of respect and recognition that they get.
Apple Tree sure sounds sounding like No Quarter. Yeah, Led Zeppelin clones for sure.

I was fairly dissapointed by this album. I liked the singles (exept love train) but the rest didn't really click with me. His vocals were kinda annoying too.

Cause it's the Australian version tracklist. Love Train is only on the American version, maybe a few others too.

Great Review man totally agree with you.
I got the album though and there are 13 tracks on mine. There is an extra track called Love Train. Also the order is all different.
That aside, great review for a great cd and a great new band.

Unfortunately Wolfmother does not have that type of clout.
People will still buy Taking Back Sunday cd's and bands of the like.This Message Edited On 08.13.06

Im noticing a big backlash against this band, i havent heard them but im guessing its because they supposedly rip off zeppelin and floyd (or maybe they just plain suck)

This kind of music was great the first time around, and it still is. Just because they are heavy influenced from classic rock doesn't mean they are bad. I would think most people would consider that a good thing.
