I was sitting in the library beside my sexy friend on Valentine's Day and that's when this finally clicked. Fuck, Itt thebhoy talks about: feelings, again.

this is too disjointed for its own good and lacks the cohesion to give it a real identity, but it still manages to be enthralling in a weird way. i keep listening because i just know it's about to explode into awesomeness any second, but it just never does. giant cocktease of an album.

I'd continue to carry a condom around at all times though, just in case

definitely. i haven't given up on this yet, a dev 4.5 is a pretty good rec in my book so i'll keep spinning it and see if it starts to make more sense.

I'll be the first to admit that this isn't for everyone though

I understand the dilemma, it's not easy going into an album so incredibly hyped such as this without expecting big things and expecting to be blown away

i think i'll just start with his earlier work and move forward from there.

"I Never Learnt To Share" ftw. I'll need to keep listening to this. There are memorable subtleties along the journey, but I can't deny wanting to continually listen to this record and I don't have a reason.

I feel like this is what How to Dress Well was aiming for (yes, I realize they sound different), except James Blake succeeds.

I've heard the first one, haven't had a chance to check out the second one. Not even sure if it's up on youtube either

first one works better, having the extra track at the ends is kind of annoying.

yeah i mean both come off as just tacked on, but especially with the way measurements ends, i dont like having something after it.

Weird how he's chosen to do it, don't see how he couldn't have just included a 12' vinyl with them on it as some kind of bonus track ep. I think 'Unluck' is the perfect set up, simply because it's one of the more "normal" tracks on the lp
