This album is so fun. I do understand the haters, though.



But really, how can you take CoF seriously? Sure, the lyrics and imagery are a mockery, like Type O Negative...



But like Type O, the music speaks for itself. That's where I think CoF stands out. They rawk your sawks off. Like a modern day Twisted Sister.



How can you deny such ass-kicking songs like Lilith Immaculate? The Cult of Venus Aversa? Even the cheesy Forgive Me Father (I Have Sinned)?



Cradle of Filth is a guilty pleasure. Ridiculous imagery and lyrics, great production, and tons of oomph.



That's my opinion, anyway.

Sadly the bonus tracks are way more interesting than most of the songs in here. This and Nymphetamine are imo Cradle's weakest releases, despite of that fact, both records still have a couple of songs that can be rescued and enjoyed.
