Build Us a Rocket Then... is mind blowing. I appreciate every minute detail.

I swear, this album is nearly flawless and is easily the most underrated Oceansize record.

It grew on me immensly. I actually quite like Rocket now quite a bit.
The only song i don't vibe with is It's My Tail

Really? That's one of the best ones on here to me.
The only one that I am not as keen on as the rest is Oscar Acceptance Speech, but it's only because it takes awhile to get going. Once the song builds up into the second half, it is classic Oceansize.

Had my Spotify playlist on shuffle at work the other day, and Pine came on and really stood out. Don't think I appreciated before how stunning and gorgeous that song was. Probably my new favorite on here.

This album is great. Quite a bit heavier than other efforts too.

Wouldn't say so. There are only 4 actually heavy tracks on here, the rest is pretty soft and atmospheric

Pine is so beautiful... a lot of the soft and post rockish tracks on here got me through some tough stuff in 2018

Build Us a Rocket Then is probably my favourite from this album, but the entire thing is just gorgeous.

True. I want to set time aside and give it a deep listen like good ol times.

Ok, Frames is still my favourite album of all time but this is like only a bit worse so still a great choice

I need to revisit this album again. It was initially my least favorite but I remember really enjoying a few cuts on this. Maybe with fresh ears it will hit me differently

This one of interesting. The production seems like it's taken a bit of a step back and it often takes weird melodic turns that don't quite work for me. But then that's what the whole album seems to be built on: being unconventional and betraying expectations everywhere it can.
|
| |
Yeah, apart from half the betrayal of expectations comes from falling into boring songwriting modes you'd never have associated with the band before this album :[ some good'uns here for sure tho

Yeah, it's weird. They sound like a different band.

believe me, this is the definition of a Grower. This started at a 3 for me, and went up to a 4.5.
Pine and Ransoms are so beautiful
