As much as I want to agree with that...
Axis: Bold as Love has most of my favorites.

Manic Depression is a frustrated mess

my dad told me he never liked that one because it was so damn off-kilter and dissonant, but i just told him i love noise

It's probably my favorite Hendrix song.
|
| |

yeah agreed. I'm relistening to all 3 albums today and by result, I'll probably end up bumping them all.
Especially since I'm in a Jimi Mood.
Why is Axis so underrated though?
|
| |
probably because it's softer and more reserved, but it's much more comforting and relaxing than his other stuff
|
| |
Doing a discog jam for him over the next few days. I'll see if that changes.

"it's much more comforting and relaxing than his other stuff"
I think that's almost why it's my favorite. When his voice gets soft, it's almost angelic. Plus there's still plenty crazy jamming. "If 6 Were 9" for instance.
|
| |
haven't jammed his others in a really long time actually, probably gonna do what death did
|
| |
I think I'm actually just hearing this title track for the first time. What the hell?

There's a ton of different versions of Are You Experienced?
I always listen to the most modern edition since it has all songs from the US and UK version plus 3 other tracks.
Confusing, right?
