Ouch, it's up to eight. =/ I thought I did well here, but apparently people are easily angered by a difference of opinion.

Honestly the vocals remind me of a little boy yelling and screaming cause he didnt get his ice cream. It's not even really a scream.. just a yell.. and it's quite annoying.

A little harsh on the review.

I can see why people think the riffing is a bit repetative. I've heard some of the songs and I only really like Pull harder on the stringsof your matyr.

I just wanted to highlight this point to express how much i disagree with it..

Although I agree with some of ShadowsFallen's thoughts, I think this one is quite out of place..

The mere fact that Trrivium has garnered so much attention (as made evident by the multiple reviews that it has been getting) shows how much they have been able to make themselves unique and distinguish themselves from all the rest..

Another thing..

(I stated this in my review, check it out.. :D) I disagree that the lyrics and riffs are uninspired and immature, I think that at such a young age and having such little experience in the industry, they are as matured and inspired as they can get (set aside a few songs such as dying in your arms. :D)

I disagree with your review. But i have to admit, it really took guts to write something like that. After all, like you said, its all a matter of taste. Good job. (your right about the flamers, wat a bunch of *ssholes)

errr to give your own opinion?

You shouldnt rate albums u love either. Cause either way, your either giving the artist 2 much credit or not enough.

That's really dumb, then every album would be 3.5 or so, because the people who hate would give it to low a score and not vote and visa-versa for the people who like it.

Wat i meant is you shouldnt review your all-time fave albums. Then you might end up complimenting them 2 much and not getting the negative apects. And maybe its better if they all get 3.5s so the review shows both aspects of the album and then you can check out the comments at the bottom 2 find out more.

That would be terrible if all albums were 3.5, then we would have albums that really
paved the way for a lot of groups like early Gothenburg bands with bands that realease
ok albums but haven't really done anything. You should review whatever you want, that
way it's not a one sided album review, I mean that if one person only does how it's ok
then we'll miss the really good parts of the album and if noone review the bad we'll see
why it's not so amazing. And that would suck if you were trying to find a new album to

Even though I am a Trivium fanboy, amazingly I am sensible. (At least I think that).

I would not neg a review just because I don't like what the author says, however if it was written badly I WOULD neg it.

I really think that ShadowsFallen is one of the best reviewers on this site, and with good reason. Reviews like this make people stand out from the crowd.
