^ Whether or not old circa was boring it's stupid to not like this because they lost their old sound, considering their new sound is so damn awesome.

"No vendetta, I just don't suck your dick the way other users do. I also believe that you're a prick that gets picked on all day long at school and your janitorial job at an animal shelter so you act all "cool" on Sputnik to make yourself feel beter about yourself.. It's all good though, you're Sputnik staff man! That's pretty fuckin impressive dude!"

Glass Arrows easily would have been the best song on Juturna I think. And it isn't even a huge standout track here.

I'm not a big a fan of Circa Survive's first two albums, but when I listened to this I was thourougly impressed. I need to give it a couple more listens to get a final verdict, but things are looking very good for this album.
And this was a fantastic review.

great review chan.
love the record, although there are some fillers imo.
anyway, "frozen creek", "i feel free" and "glass arrows" are ridicously awesome...
just an epic output overall.
finally green woke up. never digged circa, but now .>

This is sooo much better through headphones. I get the feeling this will be in my top 5 albums this year. Makes their older stuff seem boring and I loved their old stuff. The second half of this is so consistently awesome it hurts sometimes.

I think that this is a very good album, with an awesome new sound. I definitely think that it is lacking in something essential that is the reason why I started to listen to Circa Survive in the first place though... It lacks the amazing lyrics! Juturna's lyrics are so cryptic and dreamy. They leave it up to you to interpret the emotion held within them! When listening to the first two albums, it's as if reading avant guard poetry. It gives them a detached sound that true fans associate with Circa Survive. Detached, but even more personal for that very reason (because of the fact it's so interpretive). The lyrics in Blue Sky Noise are too straight forward (it's been done before). The guitar and drums were super good though! In some ways I preferred them to those in the previous two albums, but felt that Anthony Green's voice (though amazing) kind of drowned them out more. Overall, I think with more listens it will grow on me, as the other albums had to as well.

Jomak222, I don't mean to trash Anthony Green, but his lyrics were never particularly amazing. It all seems to be quite "i dont
know how i got heeere, you told me ways in which i would learn to escape, but the hour never camee, please let me catch the
radio signals" etc etc
I mean his vocal melodies can be amazing, and the band rules, but lyrically, I never have rated them particularly highly.

Haha jimmyisjonny what you said is pretty true about his lyrics a lot of the time, but I do really like them usually. They can be a bit... well like you described them I guess.
God this makes me excited for their show w/ CoCa. Circa was awesome live before they had songs like these IDK how Ill be able to wait until May 3.

To whoever wrote this review : Fuck you buddy.
Anthony green's lyrics connected with an audience the likes of you wouldn't understand. What his lyrics brought us... is more than anything you could ever even think of feeling.
Blue sky noise is perfection. But its not about perfection. They traded everything that made them unique for "perfect music"
In my personal opinion... this album is garbage. These lyrics are shit. And I can't relate to a single god damn one of them. I've listened to the cd right around 20 times. And each time it just makes me want to listen to their old music.
Anthony green's lyrics are deep, depressing, sarcastic, and each one has impact the second it hits your ears.
These new songs.. while being completely sound in every way lack something that almost all bands do. The ability to make you feel exactly what the artist feels as you hear it.
The only thing this cd makes me feel.. is anger. Because I wasted my money on it.

The only reason I made this account was for this purpose. I don't usually care this much about the bands I listen to.
