That's the problem with some of these guys though, they throw out a few obscure vinyls or a rare EP and never an actual release that I would know about.

Exactly, I dunno if they're staying under the radar from record companies or if they're not even being picked up by these companies due to lack of interest.

I don't think they are intentionally staying under the radar. But remember that things work a bit differently when you start to get into this genre, its not so much "okay, you just signed to a label, go release an album tomorrow". Its more build a following, play some shows, get a name via high profile remixes, do some exclusive mixes (Noisia have done the BBC Radio 1 mix, fabriclive), do some collabs and steadily release some 12".
Then release the album

You're right, I guess I forgot about all that. It's definitely more complicated than being in a rock band, now that you put it that way.
I'm not used to this idea of just mixes and remixes, I feel like I need to hear an original compilation of 12 tracks or so on a disc, just like any other artist.

Generally after the first album is released they become like any normal band, standard album every 2 years etc
