so i finally listened to this monstrosity all the way through. i'll reiterate for the record that it's nowhere near as bad as her first album, but most of this shit is wayyyyy too mediocre to warrant a triple-album. as a whole a tedious, misguided, and ultimately forgettable release. ever hear of b-sides, Joanna? get an editor

again though i really hate it when people go on about the virtuosity of Newsom's harp technique or the brilliance of her compositions. color me unimpressed. she's not fit to tune Carlos Salzedo's concert harp

@ Enotron it would would be worse too imo if the harp was super technical. I like the simplicity, its effective. Her voice is the main instrument.
