Shadows of the Sun is also really good and so is Blood Inside and, like I said, Perdition City. Don't care for any of the other non-black metal albums by this band.

Have you listened to them all? How could you not like Svidd Neger?

I listened to it a few times and didn't really think much of it. I've heard all of their newer era albums at least a few times each.

Got home from work and this has FINALLY arrived and it sounds even better blasting out of my stereo than i ever thought it would. An absoloutley amazing raw grim blackened work of art. So yeah i kinda like it lol

"Hymne IV" still has one of the coolest metal riffs.

The one at the beginning (after the 'werewolf' riff) is probably one of the most metal riffs ever. But yeah the whole album is full of awesome riffs.

I still like the opening riff in the first song the most. That's where it first hits you.

Yes the first riff is really awesome as well. But when track 4 starts, the album just kinda reaches another level. It's like Hymn I-III just build up the intensity until Hymn IV just explodes into madness.

The first solo (at about 30 seconds) is just mind-boggling O_o

And lol at the acoustic break as well.

This album is the reason why I've been getting into bm over the last year. Something about it clicked with me and helped me appreciate a genre I'd largely found uninteresting. I almost like it better than Bergtatt.
