Sophia is stuck in UK, it’s Cass from Tiny Ruins on bass - killed it all the same!
A few songs I’ve never managed to see live. I am floating on a cloud rn!

finn told the crowd to be less rowdy for that one cause it's "really fuckin' quiet, sorry"

I think I remember liking... was it "In the Blood"? more out of the two new songs. the other new song kinda felt like too familiar a stomping ground for me

It was big nux vibes with the rollicking marching snare for sure. Loved when he had his capo in the wrong place and said "it's only the opera house". Wish the crowd was a bit more raucous (up top anyhow)

makes me happy to hear finn is hilarious - love when a favourite artist has that side to em

Haha it's a very subdued, deadpan shade of hilarious. "This song has a neckerchiefed spaniel in it, and I think that's pretty cool"
|
| |
Mmm when I saw him he was subdued and deadpan, but more cute than hilarious - but that's probs bc almost everyone was Italian and he didn't have much to vibe off. The venue was also cold but it improved the atmos. Wonderful man

yeah he actually seemed a lot more down to earth and funny than i was expecting, since i kinda had him pegged as more of a nick cave type
|
| |
isn't nick cave quite funny irl (genuine question, i always thought he was known as such but i might be completely wrong)

Maintain that Opera House a weird choice for such a bop of an album. Managed to nab a front row seat though, so can’t complain. Sick gig was sick.

sure, but for the most part Cave's veneer is that of the (perhaps unintentionally) overly serious well-read veteran artist. Even though Cave is a very nice guy, he's still got that larger than life aura, whereas Finn was more uhhh.... lifesize?

Can’t comment on the Nick Cave thing too much, but Finn is definitely super down to earth and all those clichés. Have seen him way too many times in various sizes of venue and he is always just precious.
