I try to listen to this all the way through but i seem to stop at 'Closer' all the time and move on to Opeth.

Yeah I can't get through this all the way, I really have too much music to get through

I found this at my library also! How lucky of me.

"Objectively speaking, the odds of those you of who read this knowing about my religious beliefs are fairly small."

It's not my personal favorite song. But if I had to choose what the greatest written song in the last 20 years was, it might be "hurt".

I agree with most of what Med says here in this review. Nine Inch Nails' The Downward Spiral has to be not only the greatest NIN album ever, but the greatest and definitely most artistic album of its genre.
Also Noted is that more people like The Fragile, which I don't understand. Sure it has more tracks, and sure more of them are commercially stable, but for the most part it was a week album. How could someone ever prefer the aftermath of Downward Spiral to Downward Spiral itself? I rock out to the solo on ruiner everyday! I sing the lyrics to reptile when doing tedious tasks! I have for the past 16 years!

More people definitely like the downward spiral more. Personally though the fragile is my all time favorite with this one just a hair behind it. Also the fragile tracks proved to be lfar ess commercially viable compared to those on TDS

The Fragile is far less commercial, and with the exclusion of Starfuckers, is absolutely perfect. It's such a dark, harrowing, atmospheric album.
Anyway, I hate this review. It's so pretentious.

Taking my first dive into industrial as I type this, I'm on I Do Not Want This...completely out of genre for me, so I'll have to give this a few listens
|

and BTW, I like I Do Not Want This A LOT
