Yeah, people probably would have made positive, constructive criticism instead of bashing your poor grammar if you had written a positive review. That's the key, though - you wrote a negative review. There is no reason to write a negative review of an 8-year old album this popular other than to piss people off, which you did admirably.

Really? All I said is, "This song sux, i hates it"? Where the hell did I say that.

And Iranscam, is that all I said in the review? I'm pretty sure I said a lot more than that. I'm pretty sure I remember going into a little more detail on numerous occaisons about the parts I disliked.

The reason I chose to review this album is because its very popular and I think its overrated (obviously) as Opeth is overrated. I'm happy I pissed off Opeth fans. Hell, you can piss off an Opeth fan by saying Ghost Reveries is better than BWP. (which it is)

The point is that its not really a good idea to start your time at Sputnik by hating on a Sputnik classic, with a not so great review to boot

I don't hate opinions, I hate opinions that are backed up with nothing. You have nothing here to verify that this album is legitimately poor. I'm not a douche Opeth fanboy and if you look at other well written neg' Opeth reviews, you will see that I accept peoples opinions differing from mine and that I acknowledge a well written review when I see it. The fact you tried to push controversy with sloppy research and lack of knowledge coupled with immature comments and poor grammatical skills makes your opinion invalid. End of story.

It's not about ownage in the least; I could care less. It's about critically acclaimed albums being tarnished by the word of someone who's read too many fanboy posts and needs to spite them all by writing a negative review about their favourite album. I really don't like Circle Takes the Square but I'm not going to write a negative review on their one album solely because I don't understand the genre they sit in. This is why I think the kid doesn't have a clue what he's talking about.

I'm gonna jump in and provide my two cents, because I haven't come out and neg'd you yet you might just listen.
Firstly, bear in mind that as far as I can tell no one here has yet to make comments along the lines of "opeth rules, faggot" or "fuck off and die, this band redefines music" etc etc.

In fact, you reserved the title of first to jump to conclusions and name calling by calling everyone you must've known were gonna neg you a whiny bitch. You're pretty much just setting the stage there.
As The_Wizard and i'm sure more have already pointed out, if the review had been off a solid quality where you supported all your opinions and gave reasons why it didn't work for you, then every supposed "opeth fanboy" who rates this a classic (and there are many, i'm up there too" we all would've said "well I disagree with it, but good job. You supported your thoughts admirably."
