even now that the concept has sunken in, i still can't say this is much chop. it's good, but nothing more.
i think i'm getting over wilson's overly clean production. it's just kind of stale now. at least other albums had awesome songs to keep me interested throughout.

When I Drive the Hearse is best.
"Time Flies" is the best song Steve Wilson will ever write so I don't understand how everybody loves another one of his acoustic songs.

yeah, Trains will always be Wilson's best song.
|

Yeah that tied with Arriving Somewhere But Not Here. Then again there are songs like Anesthetize, A Smart Kid, Heartattck in a Layby, Mellotron Scratch etc. ugh...

This album feels a tiny bit wasted. Like it could of been better by cutting a few excess moments. Its still a good listen, but also what Jorn said originally - it doesn't have that signature song that creates a heavy handed punch.

time flies is alright i dont get all the jizzing over it to be honest

I Drive the Hearse is awesome too. Honestly the rest is just good.

I'll give to it some more spins before rating it.
At first glance it deserves a 4.

Loved it on the first listen. Love it to this day (listening 13 or so). 5/5. Heading up the list for my best of 2009
