The last album was fucking horrendous but if you check out Loomis' solo material, it's all identical to this album so it's obvious that the problem was not him. I can't listen to his solo stuff without wishing Warrel was singing though

Was looking for something a bit different to listen to - saw on Sputnik this was (nearly) universally praised so thought I'd give it a go. Vocalist is good. Only on first listen but sounds promising. Been listening to quite a bit of extreme metal lately, so this is a welcome change.

So far I'm liking the musicianship on this. On the other hand, the vocals sound kinda out of element sometimes and the lyrics are kinda cheesy to be honest.



Gonna listen to the rest of the discography later on.

My favourite Nevermore album. One of the top 5 albums of 2005.
