This is easily one of my albums of the year thus far. I was disappointed by Systematic Chaos, but this is a definite return to form.



And I agree, Dream Theater live is a brilliant experience.

Having Labrie and his whiny voice makes the lyrics stand out. Having the lyrics stand out is a major issue for Dream theater, their lyrics are just so juvenille and uninspired. This album screams naivity, with regards to the childish lyrics which are delusional at best. Labrie and Portnoy write their lyrics in crayon for sure.
