The Great Annihilator, White Light and To Be Kind. My top three. Only got into Swans a few weeks ago and been having their entire discography on repeat. So glad to have them in my life now. Amazing band. I love this album so much.

One day you will finally come around to 'Filth' and it'll be in your Swans Top 3

That’s the only one of the pre COG albums that I will probably go back to. So you never know! Their first EP is amazing and up their with the best.

Agreed, the Debut EP doesn't get nearly enough love or attention. It's great, and it's really the only thing they've done in the 'true' essence of No Wave. (Most people consider 'Filth' and/or 'Cop' No Wave as well but...they've always struck me as more pure Industrial / Noise Rock.)

She Lives is just so unsettling, and Mother_Father is one of Jarboe's best. Fucking breathtaking, and still probably doesn't crack their top 5

To me it feels like The Seer in an infant form. It has the same atmosphere and overall I think they sound quite similar albeit The Seer takes things to the next level. But many songs here sound like sketches and ideas that would be fleshed out in The Seer. They both have that same thick, heavy (but not abrasive) and dark atmosphere which may come down to similar reverb and production/mixing giving both that almost velvet smooth feeling...if that makes sense.

i think it's "white light" at this point in time but it's always changing. i only just got through "soundtracks" fully for the first time this past week lol so that one definitely needs some time to grow. my top 3 is probably white light, children of god, and filth
