agreed. Shoulder of your god, the bonus track, is infinitely better than every other song on this album. Overall bored me to death, seemed like they were trying too hard and just couldn't get it together

Meh, just listen to As The Palaces Burn and Ashes of the Wake spec. Those are the only log albums I enjoyed when my friend used to listen to em.

Sacrament sounds like one long song, and not a great one at that so I do think this is better but I just think they lost some their groove here. Palaces was one punishing riff after another whereas this is too broken up with boring passages and melodic sections that just don't work imo

Fake Messiah reminds me too much of Omerta which for some reason I cannot get into.
But yeah all the bonus tracks are fantastic, and there really are some great riffs like I love the start of dead seeds as well, but just like that track it's not consistently upheld throughout.
I dig the newest album though
