It has its moments, but they don't last very long and are few and far between all the boring ones. Not only that, but nothing I listen to it will stick with me longer than ten minutes after I hear the album. Unlike other albums with songs that will be stuck in my head for weeks, the songs here are rather easy to forget completely.

True. I definitely can't listen to this all the way through in one go, but a few tracks at a time and it's pretty solid. Definitely not the best tech death around ofc, we have Spawn Of Possession, Gorod and Necrophagist for that.

I'd take these guys over Necrophagist easily although technically, 2/4 of the band are old Necrophagist. Not big into tech death so hence how this turned out. I might be a tool and say i'm not interested in expanding my tech-death horizons but we'll see how things play out from here.

There's nothing wrong with the review, it's just people's opinions of the band.
I wouldn't go fully into it, just check out the top bands. It's starting to get kind of over saturated with lower quality bands anyway.

Ok, so really why does everybody seem to hate the album on account that it sounds like other bands!? It doesn't make this album a bad one. The guys from Obscura found inspiration in cynic, necro and death. What's wrong with that!? They're all good bands, I enjoy them all and I'm glad a band does something which blends all of their styles. It's just awesomeness.
I'd probably hate it if the album had been a bad combination of the three fore mentioned bands, but it sounds good. I gotta admit it's not original, but why should I care? Artists keep ripping off other artists all the time.

lol I usually all but completely ignore metal vocalists. The instrumentation here is sloppy, haphazard, uninteresting, etc etc. It's just all over the place in a really bad way, for me anyway.

dude you are confusing as hell, don't start this "cause they can play their instruments they are objectively good" thing. you are saying that you can't go through the album, that its like every other tech band, hardly original, its alright, etc. If you think its "alright" rate it average or something. if you actually like this like your rating implies stop acting like you don't
