Bias FTMFW. Went to see The Bled and a bunch of other (metal) bands when they were in Minneapolis, and POS came out on stage and did guest screams for a Bled song. And owned it. Dude can SCREAM

you haven't heard him screaming all over his records? Science Science and Half-Cocked Concepts both come to mind instantly...

That's insane. Respect for him just went up even higher if that's possible.

P.O.S. was in hardcore and punk bands before he was ever a rapper (see Building Better Bombs)

Yup! That's probably why I like him so much; those punk roots add a lot to his music. Same for the fact that he plays bass

I did notice the screams, just didn't come to mind that it was him doing it.

Definitely album that needs to grow on you, but it's worth the wait.

Dessa almost steals best on track, for Low Light, Low Life. Decent verse right there.

Dessa and Cecil Otter on Last Call off Doomtree's s/t is some of her best stuff (not to mention The Wren).

She really stole the spotlight on that album, though I do really like her verse on this one too.

This. Same with her on Veteran from False Hopes.

False Hopes XII has some dope tracks on it, one being Veteran. I like that version of Traveling Dunk Tank by Cecil Otter too, and Lucky by Sims.

False Hopes XIII-XV are awesome too

I only have XII (it was only labeled as "False Hopes"), but it is the shit.

oh man you should get on XIII and XV asap (XV's an EP). XIV is dope too, but it's a Sims album. Dessa has her own False Hopes (VII or VIII, can't remember) as does pretty much every member. Only 12-15 and the Cecil Otter, Dessa, Paper Tiger and MK Larada ones are still available though.

The first one is P.O.S. + Cecil Otter from like way back in 2001, but it's damn near impossible to find now.

Cecil Otter = mad underrated

I just wish that Rebel Yellow had a lot less filler

I still don't get why you say that Maniac, there's only like 2 tracks without vocals (going by the common sputnik definition of filler as interlude type tracks) and they're both pretty awesome.

Idk, some songs on there just seem really under-par ... but others are great

oh ok then I understand. your going by the definition of "filler" that i would use -- i.e. subpar songs to flesh out the length of a record or songs that were thrown together last minute. Not just 2 minute throwaway instruments (which is the overwhelming definition on this site for some reason).

while I disagree, your statement now makes sense to me.

lol ok.

You honestly think that there are no sub-par songs on Rebel Yellow?

not enough to qualify me making a statement of "wish it had a lot less filler"

I could go with "I wish there weren't those 2 songs or so that I didn't like as much as the rest"

the thing that keeps it from being a 4.5 for me isn't so much that there's a decent amount of material I don't like, as much as there's a lot of great stuff but not much of it is mind-blowing.

Let Me Tell You Baby is one hell of a lyrical masterpiece though
