I grew up with a very limited musical exposure (my parents' Christian/oldies CDs, Christian radio, and my brother's hip-hop was about it), it was only a couple years ago that I really started to figure out what I liked.

I still dig a lot of Christian stuff. DC Talk, POD, Disciple, etc etc.

No, no, no, that's just mostly all I heard before I started listening to stuff independently. I've never liked hip-hop, I was just exposed to my brother's constant blaring of it all the time. (Lots of Lil' Wayne) I do like TobyMac and still dig some Christian bands though.

Meh, I've never gotten into much of any rap, Christian or otherwise. Just doesn't do it for me. (Not saying it's all bad or anything, just not my taste)

So tell me, Emim, what's your take on Dream Theater? I've been going through their discography lately and have enjoyed most of their albums.

Ummm, a lot of DT comes across as wank, but I can dig a song every now and again. As I Am or In the Name of God would probably be my favorite.

Oh yeah, some of it is very wanky, I personally don't mind it though. And I would've guessed that your favorites would be from Train of Thought, looks like I was right.
